When I filed for election to represent Ward 2, My initial goal was to visit every home in the Ward. Friday night at 7:30 I completed this goal. I must say that the last street was very emotional for me.

Along my journey over the last seven weeks I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people and hear from them how city government has impacted their lives, and what they expect from their Council. The stories I've heard of living in Prairie Village and what our communit...y means to each of you, is why I want to represent you.

I want to thank all of you for taking your time to speak with me, asking questions and sharing your thoughts. I also would like to thank my family and friends who have supported me, with special thanks to my daughter Evelyn, who walked almost every street with me in the rain, snow or sunshine.

One of my favorite phrases is that "Life is about the Journey not the Destination". This particular journey has taught me so much about the community we share, who we are, what we believe in and where we are going as a city. I believe in Prairie Village, its past and its future and would like to make your voice heard in city government. As your City Council representative I will continue to listen to your needs and be available for your concerns.

I ask that you vote for me on Tuesday, April 5th. Your vote does make a difference.
